traction powersports is a newly opened powersports company that brings everything fast and fun under one roof. they aimed to offer service, parts, and advanced tuning for bikes, ATVs, UTVs, and other off-road vehicles along with all the necessary accessories to promise a win (or at least beat your friends). they also planned to feature an extensive selection of gear including their own clothing line.
our first challenge was to find a new name. during one of our first branding exercises, we came up with the core value and ethos of “Harnessing Momentum and Providing Traction”. the next step was a lot of Google searches and cross referencing open domains to lock this name in.
we are so proud of how this visual identity came together. from our talks, we knew that the logo and design direction had to be bold, exciting, dramatic, and recognizable at the size of a palm on somebody’s bike as they raced around the track. we also knew we didn’t want to play anything too safe. spending time with these guys drifting through the dunes while wearing their in-house clothing label is some of the most fun you’ll ever have, and we are glad that we were able to capture their reckless and sporty style.
